Paradigm Educational Center, Inc.

Here at Paradigm Educational Center, we provide a Montessori based program for children 18 months to 6 years of age. Currently we are in the process of amending our license to allow for children ages 6 weeks to 18 months to attend our center. Montessori is a program that allows the children to learn at their own pace and by others of the same age. Work is on shelves in 5 areas of the classroom: Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language and Cultural. All work that is in the classroom challenges the child’s curiosity, promotes self-discipline, and encourages learning
through discovery.

Children in the classroom right now have learned all the continents of the world and are either learning all the countries of North America or have moved onto the countries of South America. One child is currently on the United States map and is eager to learn new states every day. Most children come to a Montessori program not knowing what sounds each letter makes. This is the only way a child learns how to read. We have sound books for each child that helps them recognize the sounds by repetition of saying it and tracing it on a sandpaper letter. It is not uncommon in our school for a 3 year old to sound out words and begin reading books.

Check back for more updates and photos of the children’s work and what the future holds for our center. We here at Paradigm are here to become a family in the classroom, and to help children have fun as they learn in an exciting and warm environment.

    To Whom It May Concern:

This letter serves as a recommendation for Paradigm Educational Center, owned and operated by Jamie Martin and Sharon McGlee.

In August, we became concerned that our son, William, was not happy at the educational facility we had him enrolled in. So, we began our search to find a new one. After visiting numerous Day Cares and Learning Centers, we happened to notice a sign for Paradigm Educational Center’s “Open House” and decided to stop by for a visit. From the minute we began speaking with Jamie and Sharon, we knew this was the School we had been searching for!

The Classrooms are beautifully decorated and filled with age-appropriate learning tools (work), books and toys. Music is very important in our family and we appreciate hearing the different genres of music in the background as we drop him off in the morning. William is being exposed to so many new things – so much more than we could offer at home. We are extremely happy with the intellectual progress that William has made since enrolling him.

There is nothing more valuable to parents than their children. We have been most impressed with the value that the teacher’s places in this concept. The teachers are gentle, loving and patient and we have noticed William and all the other children are quite happy and content. William feels so “at home” that he calls Miss Sharon- “Grandma Sharon.”

We are so pleased with our decision to enroll William at Paradigm Educational Center. They are obviously committed to the total care of all the children. There are so many reasons why we are impressed with Paradigm Educational Center: child-specific teaching, a caring approach, accommodating drop-off and pick-up hours, good parent-teacher communication and an emphasis on the importance of daily nutrition.

Paradigm Educational Center has been a wonderful environment for William. William is being nurtured academically and emotionally while in the care of Paradigm Educational Center and we are most grateful to all of the teachers for their obvious commitment to the well being of each child. We attribute so much of our son’s growth and excelled development to Paradigm Educational Center.

    Sincerely,

    Ryan and Kim Meyer
